These huge rooms are located on the first floor. Their double balcony spans the width of the townhouse and offers stunning views over the harbour, perfect for evening drinks or morning coffee. One of these has an ensuite shower room, the other has an ensuite bathroom.




Frequently Asked Questions
Disabled Room
We have one room on the ground floor behind reception that is accessible by wheelchair from the rear door in the car park. This room has a small double bed and a single bed. The 'wet room' bathroom is equipped with an open shower, seat and grab rails. There is a very small lip from the bedroom into the bathroom
Breakfast
Our rates are room only. We do not serve breakfast. There are many excellent cafes/restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.
Check in and Check out
Check in time is 4pm to 9pm. If you think that you will be arriving later than 9pm it is essential that you contact us so that we can make the necessary arrangements. If you do not contact us and arrive past this time you will not be able to check in and you will forfeit any payments or deposits made.
Check out time is 10 am. There is a late check out charge of £30 up to 1pm on the day of your departure.
Leaving Luggage
You can leave luggage with us before check in and after check out. We have a luggage room with a door code for this. Please use the Live Chat facility on the day of your arrival to ask for the code. Please note that we don't accept any liability for lost, damaged, or stolen luggage.
Wifi
Enjoy complimentary WiFi during your stay with us. Look for "Royal Harbour Hotel Guest" on your Wifi settings and follow the instructions.
Housekeeping
We will service your room periodically during your stay to collect rubbish and top up your teas and coffees. If you need any extra then please see reception which is manned from 4pm or send a request via our Live Chat facility on this website.
Additional Cleaning & Damages

Accidents & Soiling: In the event of soiling of beds, bedding, carpets or furniture (including but not limited to urine, vomit, blood or other bodily fluids), guests must inform Reception immediately so we can arrange professional cleaning.

Failure to notify staff and/or leaving soiled bedding or furniture without reporting it will incur a fixed £50 housekeeping fee to cover specialist laundry, sanitisation, and staff handling.

In cases of significant damage or contamination requiring professional contractors, charges may be higher and will be billed at cost.
Extra People/Beds/Cots
Please contact us at the time of booking to discuss your options.
If an extra person arrives that is not included in the original reservation we reserve the right to refuse them being accommodated in your room. If that person can be accommodated (and it is subject to our discretion) an extra room night will be charged.
Any unauthorised persons that stay in the room (over and above the maximum number allowed as per the confirmation) will be charged an extra room night.
Parking
There are 4 parking options:
Parking is free in surrounding streets where there are no restrictions
In our street (Nelson Crescent) you can park for free from 6pm to 9am. Outside these times there is a 2 hour maximum stay which currently (June 2024) costs £2.30 an hour payable with the Ringo app
There is a multi storey car park on Leopold Street, a 5 minute walk away. The entrance can be found at https://w3w.co/supply.cuts.frosted
We have a small (4 spaces) car park at the rear of the hotel which costs £12.50 a day. They cannot be reserved. They operate on a first come first served basis. The location is at the rear of the hotel on Addington Place and can be found at https://w3w.co/conforms.performed.snowmen
Payments
All rooms must be paid for in advance. We accept Visa and Mastercard only. We do not accept cash.
Reservations
We cannot take reservations on the telephone. You have to book on line. That way you can see the full availability and prices and choose accordingly.
We do not accept any stag/hen parties.
Room Amenities
Every bedroom has an en-suite shower room.
We have 2 rooms with bath/shower combinations (Royal Oak Suite and the Junior Suite)
All rooms come with a tea/coffee tray, soap, a hairdryer, and books
Iron and ironing boards are situated on each floor.
Please note that during certain quieter times the main lounge areas and garden may be unavailable.
Fire Alarms and Instructions
If you discover a fire, close the room door - operate the nearest fire alarm - leave the building by the nearest available route.
If you hear the fire alarm which is a continuous loud siren leave the building immediately by the nearest available route.
All guests must assemble outside the front of the hotel.
Our fire alarms are usually tested every Thursday.
CCTV
CCTV is in operation throughout the hotel. This activity is carried out for security for all our guests and staff.

To ensure fairness and to reflect the additional housekeeping time required after departure, our dog charge is based on size (by weight) and applies per dog, per night:

If it’s solidly built and clearly above knee height, it’s usually large.
Guests are required to bring their own dog bedding or crate. Hotel linen, towels and furnishings must not be used for pets.
Dogs must not be left unattended in bedrooms and must remain off beds and soft furnishings.
As an independent hotel with original artwork, antiques and upholstered furnishings, we ask that owners supervise their dogs responsibly at all times.
In the unlikely event of damage or the need for specialist cleaning beyond standard housekeeping, we reserve the right to charge the reasonable cost of repair, cleaning or loss of revenue if a room is temporarily unable to be re-let.
